HOKA ONE ONE knocks it out of the park every season and SS21 is no exception. We re-upped on the classic Bondi 7 in all-black and all-white, the Bondi L in an earthy suede colourway, and brought in some uber-comfy summer options with the ORA Recovery Shoe and ORA Recovery Slide. For outdoorsy types, we have the Hopara hiking sandal, Stinson ATR 6, and Kaha Low GORE-TEX, a low-top iteration of HOKA’s iconic Kaha GTX boot. Rounding out the collection are HOKA’s new Clifton Edge and Carbon X2, two running shoes that look almost as good as they perform.
We picked the Hoka One One Stinson ATR 6 for the complementary off-white tones to be part of the Wallace Style 5 for SS21. The technical look of this trail shoe also pairs well with the Goldwin pants, and the comfort of that Hoka One One EVA midsole is always a bonus.
Last year, Hoka One One did the fashion world a real solid when they released their Lifestyle Collection, reimagining the classic Bondi and Clifton models with slick leather uppers. This season Hoka went back to the well, blessing us with the Bondi L in suede and rereleasing some of their performance models in a “Variant White Pack”. Naturally, we got our grubby paws on a few pairs: the Bondi L Suede, the Stinson ATR 6, and the Carbon X2.
As if the Speedgoat 4 wasn’t cool enough already, Hoka One One went ahead and teamed up with Korean streetwear firm thisisneverthat to create one of the cleanest colourways we’ve ever laid eyes on. With a gazillion shades of off-white and accents of cyan blue, it’s got depth that can only be fully appreciated in person. Other than the thisisneverthat colour palette, this is the same Hoka Speedgoat 4 we know and love, with a Vibram Megagrip outsole, breathable mesh upper, midfoot overlays, and gusseted tongue. Take it on trails, sidewalks, and everything in between.
