Tricker's

Tricker’s is the oldest shoe making company in England, an incredible title to hold in a country renowned for its shoemaking heritage. Founded in Northampton in 1829 by Joseph Tricker, Tricker’s has continued to craft some of the finest leather footwear on planet Earth for the better part of two centuries. If the words “Goodyear welt” and “Made in England” get your heart racing, then you’ll love Tricker’s as much as we do.

Tricker's FW22 Collection

Our FW22 collection from Tricker’s is tight and top-tier, comprising just two versions of their Daniel model in vegetable-tanned Olivvia black leather and stain-resistant snuff Repello Suede. Tricker’s fondly refers to this 4-eye derby as a “tramping shoe”, a term we totally understand if that commando outsole is any indication. As with all Tricker’s shoes, the Daniel is made from start to finish in England at their Northampton factory.

Introducing: Tricker's

In 1642, the first year of the English Civil War, Oliver Cromwell passed through Northampton with his army and needed to equip his troops with some durable footwear for the battles ahead. He met with local leather workers and requested 2000 pairs of boots for his soldiers. This was the first step into large scale shoemaking in Northampton, reshaping what had previously been a local craft into something resembling a modern manufacturing industry. This also helped establish the reputation of Northampton shoes across the British Isles. Demand steadily increased over the next two centuries and Northampton’s shoemaking industry boomed.
