Jackman

In 1949, a baseball-obsessed Japanese government officer named Mitsugu Tanabe quit his job and founded Tanabe Meriyasu, a factory for baseball goods. While historically specializing in baseball uniforms, Tanabe Meriyasu continues its tradition of manufacturing classic American sportswear under the Jackman label. Every piece from Jackman is still made in Japan from high quality cotton and looks just as good in 2020 as it would in 1960.

Jackman FW24 Collection

The Jackman FW24 Collection channels the brand’s roots in classic sportswear and timeless craftsmanship. With a heritage that began in 1949, Jackman continues to honor its tradition of high-quality, Japanese-made garments inspired by baseball culture. This season’s lineup features the L/S Lead-off T-Shirt in Olive, a relaxed staple with a nod to athletic style, and the OX Coach Jacket in Dark Blue Gray, blending sporty design with a refined finish. The collection also includes the versatile Quarter Knit Himo Long Sleeve T-Shirts in Black and White, alongside the textured Waffle Crewnecks, also in Black and White. Each piece delivers comfort and enduring style, merging the spirit of American sportswear with Japanese precision.

Jackman Fabric Care

Most of our Jackman products are made of 100% cotton, so we recommend washing on a cold cycle to avoid shrinkage. You can hang dry the t-shirts, but for heavier pieces we recommend laying flat to dry to avoid stretching the fabric. For the Stretch Jacket and Stretch Trousers, wash on cold and hang to dry; DO NOT tumble dry these garments because they will shrink significantly.
