Yu for Wallace
Vancouver based musician, Yu Su, gave our new SK Manorhill pieces a whirl and rocked them flawlessly. We got the chance to chat about her personal and musical style, her passion for cooking via @yusucooks and were lucky enough to have her curate a Wallace playlist for us. Catch us bopping to this from here on out. Thanks Yu Su for hanging out with us!
How did you go about curating this playlist?
I was playing some of these songs when the Wallace team was at my house doing the photoshoot and everyone’s very grooving, so I immediately knew what kind of playlist to put together. Also it is a collection of music that I think it’s fun for trying on clothings and looking at yourself in the mirror.
When did you begin to develop your own musical and personal style?
ha! Since the day I was born! Was listening to Debussy in mamas tummy and my mom was a very stylish woman so we’d always go shopping and dress each other up, so I’ve already been very into these things.
We know you like cooking, where do you get your cooking inspiration?
Deep down it’s from growing up in the same household with my grandparents where my grandpa would cook almost every meal for us, he tried to never repeat the dishes, especially for my school breakfasts.
What’s favourite cooking music?
Cooking music I always go to Don Cherry, just enough spice ;)
