Goldwin & OAMC: Historic Quality

At Wallace Mercantile, our customers are no strangers to Goldwin’s decades-long dedication to premium craftsmanship. Established in 1950 in Oyabe City, Japan, Goldwin began as a small manufacturer of socks, shirts, and knits. Its reputation quickly grew, especially around the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games, when 80% of Japanese gold medalists donned Goldwin gear—an achievement that helped cement its name ("Gold Wins") in both sports and fashion history.

Fast forward 63 years, and the innovative spirit continues with OAMC. Launched in 2013 by Luke Meier and Arnaud Faeh—veterans of streetwear giants like Supreme—OAMC has carved out its own space in modern menswear. With a focus on self-expression and enduring quality, OAMC represents a new chapter in the evolution of timeless clothing.

A Marriage Of Innovation

OAMC and Goldwin have joined forces to unveil a Fall/Winter 2024 collection that seamlessly blends OAMC’s cutting-edge design with Goldwin’s 70-year legacy of technical mastery and sustainability.

This capsule collection showcases outerwear crafted from materials such as techincal 3-layerbonded wools and breathable membranes, vintage-inspired cords and locks with shape-regulating properties and an insulation system designed for versatile layering. Each item features hand-written labels, adding a personal touch and emphasizing how special these garments truly are.

Here at Wallace Mercantile, we’re thrilled to offer our customers the opportunity to experience the fusion of technical expertise and modern design that defines the collaboration between Goldwin and OAMC. This collection not only showcases the innovative craftsmanship behind each piece but also reflects a commitment to quality and timeless style. We’re excited to see how these garments inspire our community to embrace both function and fashion with a fresh perspective.
