The ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 is maximalist 2000s design at its finest. Originally conceived by Toshikazu Kayano in 2008 as a pure running shoe, this version of the Gel-Kayano 14 has been reimagined for a lifestyle context by Hidenori Yamashita. It still features the legendary ASICS GEL midsole, mesh upper, and synthetic leather detailing, but has a slick new White/Pure Gold colourway. The result is an ASICS running shoe that feels both modern and nostalgic, combining the functionality of the original with a newfound lifestyle appeal. (Fun fact: the original Gel-Kayano 14 won the International Editor’s Choice prize at the 2008 Runner’s World Awards.)
