La Sportiva
Born out of the rugged terrain of the Dolomites, La Sportiva has been making some of the coolest mountain-ready shoes around since the 1920s. Beginning by supplying local workers with clogs and boots, La Sportiva found their niche during WWII, when they were tasked with producing hard-wearing mountaineering boots for Italian soldiers. The rest, as they say, is history. The label still largely produces their wares at their own factories in Italy, specializing in shoes & boots designed for technical terrain – with styles ranging from the utterly classic to the ultra-modern.
