August Fifteenth

August Fifteenth is the culmination of founder Kazushi Ota’s love affair with American history and old-school garment manufacturing. Every August Fifteenth piece is designed by Ota and made in the USA, taking style cues from mid-century workwear, menswear, and military uniform. Ota’s hope is that his clothing will be used and loved like the vintage clothing that inspired it.

August Fifteenth SS20 Collection

This season August Fifteenth stuck to their guns and delivered a collection of timeless, super high quality garments. A shop highlight is definitely the Industrial Overall Jacket in denim, and the matching lightweight denim trousers. Both of these pieces have the rugged look of raw denim, but are surprisingly light and comfortable. And don’t sleep on the t-shirts either! The Logo Tee and French Motto Tee offer great graphics on some top-notch cotton that’s equal parts soft and sturdy.

August Fifteenth Fabric Care

With all August Fifteenth garments, we recommend that you wash on cold and hang to dry. For any denim products, avoid washing them often to allow the fabric to develop its own fading and wear patterns. Also be sure to wash with like colours so you don’t dye all your white shirts with indigo.
