About Solovair Shoes
You may not have heard of Solovair, but you’ve definitely seen them, and maybe even worn them! From 1960 to 1995, Solovair manufactured Dr. Martens under the title “Dr. Martens by Solovair” (sole-of-air, get it?) . Today, Solovair produces high quality shoes and boots using the same lasts and machinery that were used to make the original Docs in 1960. Every pair is still made in the original factory in England, and we think that dollar-for-dollar they might be the best value on the market.
This season we’re excited to introduce two new styles from Solovair: the 8-Eye Derby Boot and the American Brogue Shoe. The 8-Eye Derby Boot is Solovair’s best selling model and one of the most iconic shoes ever made, while the two-tone American Brogue Shoe brings something a little more bold to the table. We also re-upped on some Solovair classics with the 3-Eye Gibson, Single Buckle Monk Shoe, Tassel Loafer, and 6-Eye Astronaut Boot. Every model features the iconic Sole-of-Air Suspension and is Goodyear welted, which means they can be easily resoled.
