In Focus: Hoka One One Evo Mafate 2

Minimalism is overrated. Sure, it’s nice to wear all-black from time to time, but here at Wallace we’re all about having fun with our gear. That’s one reason why we love Hoka One One’s new EVO Mafate 2. It’s the statement sneaker of our dreams thanks to its absolute unit of a midsole and striking cyan/citrus colourway. The vibrant colour scheme is almost cartoonish, but in the best way possible—imagine Goku wearing a pair of these while going Super Saiyan. The EVO Mafate 2 has Hoka’s signature EVA midsole, which feels like a pillow without sacrificing responsiveness. That legendary Hoka comfort is complemented by a Vibram Megagrip outsole to ensure excellent traction on any surface, wet or dry. The upper utilizes Hoka’s MATRYX fabric, a Kevlar-reinforced material which provides structural support and insane durability. In the middle of the vamp is a panel of breathable fabric which stretches to accommodate different foot widths. As you can see, this shoe has more features than a smartphone. Whether you use it for hikes, trail running, or just walking around town, the Hoka One One EVO Mafate 2 is sure to exceed all expectations. Plus, you’ll look super fly.
