Originally released as the GEL-EXTREME way back in 1989, the silhouette was first created by certified sneaker legend Toshikazu Kayano as his first project with ASICS. Looks aside, the shoe has been updated with ASICS' new FF BLAST™ performance foam and a sculped heel for added shock absorption – retaining the trademark layered leather upper with Cupsole tooling designed to mimic the view of a city's skyline.
