Solovair 6 Eye Astronaut Boot - Black Hi-Shine

The Astronaut Boot got its name after the first group of American astronauts (aka the Mercury Seven) were photographed wearing the style in 1961. The Astronaut Boot exploded in popularity during the Sixties, and today is still considered a timeless design. This version from Solovair features six eyelets rather than the original eleven, giving them a more versatile everyday look. As with all Solovair shoes, it’s handmade start to finish in England and Goodyear welted, so you can be sure the quality is top notch.

Shipping & Returns

Canada Shipping

Orders over $250 CAD ship free via FedEx. Orders below this threshold are charged a flat $25 CAD shipping fee.

All orders are shipped with FedEx and typically delivered within 2–5 business days.

Canada Returns

We accept returns on regular-priced items under the following conditions:

  • Refunds: Returns must be initiated and shipped within 15 days of delivery

  • Exchanges or Store Credit: Returns must be initiated within 30 days of delivery

Items must be returned in new, unworn, unwashed condition, with original packaging, tags, and any original accessories included.

Return Shipping

For exchanges or store credit, we provide a $25 CAD return shipping credit, and one replacement shipment is provided per order on exchange.

Refund returns remain customer-paid.

Shipping charges are non-refundable and all sale items are final sale.

If free shipping has been provided, a $25 CAD restocking fee will apply to refund returns.

Gift cards, hats, intimates, magazines, and publications are non-returnable.

You may not have heard of Solovair, but you’ve definitely seen them, and maybe even worn them! From 1960 to 1995, Solovair manufactured Dr. Martens under the title “Dr. Martens by Solovair” (sole-of-air, get it?). Today, Solovair produces high quality shoes and boots using the same lasts and machinery that were used to make the original Docs in 1960. Every pair is still made in the original factory in England, and we think that dollar-for-dollar they might be the best value on the market.
