Goldwin

While little known in North America, Goldwin have cemented their reputation as one of the top outdoor apparel brands in Asia and Europe. This Japanese giant has 70 years of experience manufacturing ski gear and outerwear, but their design team also includes fashion industry vets like Eichiro Homma (of Nanamica and North Face Purple Label) and Shunsuke Ishikawa of Markaware. By combining technical construction with understated design, Goldwin gives you everything you need, nothing you don’t, and looks damn good doing it.

Goldwin FW25 Collection

Goldwin's Fall/Winter 2025 collection is a dual-focused offering, clearly dividing its products into "Performance" and "Lifestyle" categories. The Performance line, informed by the brand's Tech Lab, emphasizes speed, climate adaptability, and lightweight functionality with key products like the GORE-TEX PRO Factors Jacket and the 1000FP Sputtering Down Jacket for trekking and trail running. The Lifestyle collection, conversely, focuses on a uniform for modern living, blending utility with refined, minimalist design through pieces like PERTEX UNLIMITED jackets, PERTEX QUANTUM Down Parkas, and a variety of tailored pants, including corduroy, ripstop, and stretch fabrics. Both lines showcase Goldwin's core philosophy of merging science, art, and nature through the use of advanced materials such as GORE-TEX, PERTEX, and PRIMALOFT insulation, all while maintaining a commitment to thoughtful detail and a clean aesthetic.

Goldwin: For Mountains, Meetings, and Everything In Between

Founded in 1950 as Tsuwaza Knit Fabric Factory and rebranded as Goldwin in 1958, the brand has evolved from a family-run knitwear factory into one of the most innovative outdoor apparel companies in the world. During the 1960’s, Goldwin became popular in Japan for their ski sweaters, which often featured fair-isle patterns and bright colours. In 1987, their reputation for high-quality ski gear was solidified when the Swedish National Ski Team chose them as their official uniform supplier, a title the brand still holds today. By the end of 90’s, Goldwin was a powerhouse in the outdoor apparel world, with exclusive rights to distribute brands such as The North Face and Helly Hansen in Japan. Learn More...
