Jackman

In 1949, a baseball-obsessed Japanese government officer named Mitsugu Tanabe quit his job and founded Tanabe Meriyasu, a factory for baseball goods. While historically specializing in baseball uniforms, Tanabe Meriyasu continues its tradition of manufacturing classic American sportswear under the Jackman label. Every piece from Jackman is still made in Japan from high quality cotton and looks just as good in 2020 as it would in 1960.

Jackman FW23 Collection

Jackman's absurdly high quality goods and homages to vintage Americana have won them many fans 'round these parts, and their FW23 collection is sure to convert anyone who still isn't on board. We think their waffle knit material is one of the best in the game, and luckily we've got lots more applications of it this season like the Waffle Knit Cap in new colourways, and the Waffle V Neck Vest in seasonal hues. Also worth keeping an eye out for are the Stretch Jacket and coordinating Stretch Sweat Buggy Pants, though it's really impossible to go wrong with anything this esteemed Japanese label puts out.

Jackman Fabric Care

Most of our Jackman products are made of 100% cotton, so we recommend washing on a cold cycle to avoid shrinkage. You can hang dry the t-shirts, but for heavier pieces we recommend laying flat to dry to avoid stretching the fabric. For the Stretch Jacket and Stretch Trousers, wash on cold and hang to dry; DO NOT tumble dry these garments because they will shrink significantly.
